02

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit codsha.net, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record standard technical information including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Referring URL (the page that brought you to our site)

This data is collected in aggregated, anonymized form for website performance and security purposes only.

03

How We Use Your Information

We use personal data only for the specific purposes for which it was collected:

  • To process your order and deliver your license key and download link
  • To send order confirmations and transaction receipts
  • To provide technical support and respond to your inquiries
  • To manage your customer account if applicable
  • To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting requirements
  • To prevent fraud and ensure the security of our services
  • To improve our website based on aggregated, anonymized usage data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your information is never used for advertising profiling or shared with data brokers.

04

Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under data protection law (including the GDPR), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity — processing required to fulfill your purchase and deliver the software
  • Legal obligation — processing required to comply with applicable tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws
  • Legitimate interests — processing for fraud prevention, website security, and service improvement, where such interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Consent — where you have explicitly opted in, such as subscribing to product update notifications
05

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share limited data with the following trusted service providers, strictly to operate our business:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) — to securely handle transactions. They have their own privacy policies and are independently responsible for your payment data.
  • Email delivery providers — to send order confirmations and license key emails
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate the codsha.net website securely

All third-party providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

06

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Order and transaction records — retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations
  • Support correspondence — retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction
  • Email address for license management — retained for the lifetime of your license or until you request deletion

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

07

Our Software and Local Data

Codsha software products operate entirely on your local device. They do not collect, transmit, or upload any of your files, usage data, or personal information to Codsha or any external server.

Specifically, Codsha Flow, Codsha Sort, and Codsha Vault:

  • Do not require an internet connection for standard operation
  • Do not send telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics
  • Do not access, read, or transmit files beyond the tasks you explicitly initiate
  • Do not require an account or login to function after license activation

The only network activity performed by our software is optional license validation at first activation, which transmits only your license key — no file content or personal data.

08

Cookies and Tracking

The codsha.net website may use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website and checkout to function correctly (e.g., session management, shopping cart). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors interact with the site in aggregate. Data is anonymized and not linked to individual users.
  • Payment cookies — set by our payment processor during the checkout flow to secure the transaction.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for behavioral advertising. You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the checkout process.

09

Third-Party Services

Our website and checkout process integrate with third-party services. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their policies:

Codsha is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We select only reputable providers and ensure that appropriate data processing agreements are in place.

10

International Data Transfers

Codsha operates globally and may process or store your data in countries outside your own. When personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or other regions with data protection regulations, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant authorities or reliance on providers certified under equivalent frameworks.

By using our services, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred internationally in accordance with this policy.
